Play dates with some very special friends & their gorgeous babies! Gimme all the babies 🙈🙋🏼👌🏼 It's crazy to think fifteen years ago we were worried about what to wear to a party & which boys liked us?! Now it's all about starting solids, navigating sleep (or lack of it) & #mumlife . But no matter how long has passed between catchups I love that we can always be ourselves, laugh & dream! Xx #friendships
Currently re-living memories from this night last year! I remember it all so clearly - the anticipation of knowing you were f i n a l l y coming & we'd get to meet you, the questions of what you'd look like & whether or not you'd get your daddy's red hair, all of our family driving up to meet you at the hospital (only to find out they had to wait another day until you'd be here 😬), & just the overall excitement of it all! Long hours were spent working to meet you baby girl, & though it was the hardest thing I've ever done, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat! It's been the best year with you & I can't wait to celebrate you all day tomorrow!!! #maisiejuneturnsone 🎀

✨2ND BIRTHDAY✨ | Dear baby boy, You came into a family with so much love for you. I was afraid of what your sister would think of going from an only child to a sibling, but from the first moment she was introduced to you at the hospital, you were her baby as much as you were ours. She has continued to love you hard, fiercely protect you, and proclaim to the world that you are her best friend ever since.
Although I am not a first time parent this time around, it is my first time being a parent to YOU. Your sister is my own little mini-me and so much of what I've done for her felt like second nature, but you little man have been a mystery for me. You zig when I zag and render ever some of my best parenting tricks from the first round useless, always keeping me on my toes.
I'm sorry that as the second child there are some luxuries of being the first child you will never get to experience like grabbing a toy without Alaia immediately proclaiming it to be her favorite, a mother who gave you proper nap times instead of having to shuffle you between drop offs and pick ups, or even being left in the sungabunny a little too long because there was no way I could pick you up and handle whatever else I was doing with your sister at the same time. But despite these shortcomings, you tend to be so much more chill than what I remembered of your sister.
Being a parent is so much scarier than I ever thought it would be because the love it inspires is so great and the responsibility even greater. Although I have gained more confidence in who I am as a mother, there are other days where I still feel I fall short, but please know my ultimate goal is to always help you stand tall. Dear sweet baby boy, please know you are a major part of what inspires me to be my best and I am so happy to celebrate your second birthday today. I love you. 💕
Imaginative play this afternoon. A great way to spark up a conversation with your little one is to ask them what they've created. Here Mr O collected some horses and hay and he was making them eat while he made them a water hole to drink from. Providing a few simple objects to a child can spark the best play ideas that often cannot be foreseen from adults 😃
Four years ago tomorrow morning this little boy made me a Mama. This was one of the BEST moments of my life- well after I pushed the nine pound baby out- woot woot. Tomorrow we will celebrate the four years of COMPLETE joy he has given our family, and pray for favor and God's provision on the rest of his long life! This little boy is such a gift from above! Thank you Jesus! #adventuresofbillybrian#growingupermert#mytinymoments
His current favorite activity is looking at David's old slides from college. And... his own fancy pants and fancy shirt arrived from Pops and Bunica today so he no longer has to wear his sister's pants.
