Got dumped on with snow again so took advantage of it by having a family snowball fight, building snowmen and going sledding in our yard. And besides dressing up for a girls night out, I wore this sweatshirt and "Mom Life" sweats two days in a row and it felt oh so good! 😂 Ive linked my outfit details here 👉 http://liketk.it/2qckF @liketoknow.it #liketkit And I will put hoodie and sweats shop in profile! ❄️☃️
Today my littlest walked. Well in fact didn't need anything to lean on. He pushed himself to new limits today and not only did I share some happy tears because of it all but because my babies are growing so fast before my eyes. The Joy in leroys eyes when he first let go and walked on his own to the joy in Quinns eyes when he saw his little bro walk, my heart explode. Lets just say I'm an emotional bum today 😭😂 #itahappyway#milestones#myboys
One thing I love about being a photographer is being the one to capture my family's milestones. My littlest sister in law is going to be having her very first baby in a couple months and we are over the moon! This was my first indoor/studio maternity sesh and I tried something new and fun with a fan to get a wind blown look. @sami_mud you are simply stunning!!! Can't wait to meet that sweet baby girl!
Be picky with your life. It's your life! Why waste your time with and around the wrong people. Know your value and what you bring to the table as a person, friend or in a relationship. Don't settle for anything less. You will start to see your life look up and become more positive and peaceful when you know your worth and what your time is worth. Only surrounding yourself with people who value you as a person and bring positivity to your life.
Books We ❤️! Women in Science: 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed The World
It was the perfect weekend to jump into this book with our 5 year old daughter. This beautiful book highlights the world changing accomplishments of a diverse group of women in science. It reminds our girls they have the power to accomplish anything. It features women from a range of cultural backgrounds. Our oldest was captivated and it opened up conversations about endless ways women in science can leave their mark on the world and what they have overcome. The illustrations are beautiful.
Not the most flattering picture of this chick, but man this "us" business brings so much happiness- and isn't happiness the most flattering anyway? Also trying to throw snow picture? No go. And this 20 lb 5 month old officially needs to be worn in the @lillebaby carrier. Only way to go all day wearing him without feeling it! And it's insulated! Hallelujah.
“She broke the bread into two fragments and gave them to her children, who ate with eagerness. ‘She hath kept none for herself,’ grumbled the sergeant. “‘Because she is not hungry,’ said a soldier. “‘No,’ said the sergeant, ‘because she is a mother.'" -Victor Hugo
I recently met a young mom with a little boy my daughter's age. Her and I speak different languages, but we communicate through a mutual understanding....motherhood. I do not have to hear her words to understand her sacrifice and love for her little boy. I see it in the way she walks him to school back and forth rain or shine (or blizzard). I've seen it in the way she has very little, but her child is clean and happy. I've seen it in the way she has sacrificed comfort for a better future for her son. I've seen it in a way that she is willing to except a ride from a strange woman to provide warmth for her little boy in the way to school.
You see, we both understand love and that's all we need to speak to be friends.
It is this little darling's due date today! So thankful we got to spend the last month with her. She has completely stolen our hearts with her sweet little personality and her sleepy smiles. Im glad you joined us early, Julia. I can't imagine the last month without you!
Lessons in Midnight Mothering by @lorrenlemmons .
"There are so many areas of parenting that I think I can control. If I make the right foods, my children will love vegetables more than goldfish crackers. If I deliver consequences the right way, I break the cycle of playroom fights and toy snatching. If I say the right prayers, my children will be protected from evil strangers and sad feelings.
My heart is learning the reality that I control very little, as my mind slowly relinquishes its illusion of power—the double-edged sword that I can fix any problem, and any failure to do so is my fault. Control requires more effort, but acceptance is harder. Sometimes, a problem doesn’t require a program or an expert opinion, but patience and prayer." #everythingtribe

Poor little guy has had the worst allergies this past week. But I just can't deny how adorably amusing it is to catch him stealing all the wipes and trying to combat all those boogies! I mean look at that face!😂
This is a picture O drew for the @womensmarch in Chicago. It is a picture of our family. I love it so much I plan on framing both signs the boys made. He is marching for his family, he said. This little guy already has an innate sense of justice and fierce loyalty to his pack. When his friend told him of his worry of being separated from his parents post election---O told him not to worry because he'll protect him. That's my son: the one who will always stand up to unfairness. I'm proud to be raising a feminist son with compassion for everyone. #mynameisodin#hearmeroar#secondborn
