Training season starts. An intense 14 weeks with Powerman and one short race as a filler before my 200km ultra marathon in Singapore.
I used to think that it was impossible for me to run anything more than 10km, that 21km was quite mad, 42km crazy. And I would never want to run a marathon. Anything further is insanity.
Now as I look at the races I have nailed and added into my bucket list...I say 'never say never'. Give a certain distance a try but make sure you head in with some decent training!
Splitting my race seasons between ultra, regular distances and a rest period has certainly made it easier for me to "run the pace according to distance". Thanx @MarioFraioli for that wonderful advise.
